Mariani TourismMariani is a town located about 17 kms from Jorhat city in Assam. It is an important railway junction and is located in the border of Nagaland.
As per the 2001 census, Mariani had a population of 23,065. The average literacy rate is 68.5%. The population percentage of males to females is 54% to 46%. Mariani has a population speaking various languages.

Apart from that, Mariani has one of the largest plywood factories of India. However, this was closed down due to large felling of trees.
